2012 Ostler Lakeside Pinot Gris

Waitaki Valley

New Zealand

Vibrant, fresh yellow stonefruit aromas with apricots, spiced pears, and honey intermingle with layers of flint and minerals, the concentrated bouquet wonderfully lifted with exotic and complex elements.

Winemaker's notes

From Paul Sinnott's spectacular vineyard, above lake Waitaki, from an Alsace gris clone, new to New Zealand - Aromatically, there is ripe stone fruit, nectarine, peach and spice. Balance, pinot gris in the Alsace style - rich and creamy with extended palatal length. This is a luscious and satisfying gris.
