Winemaker's notes
The grapes are sourced from a range of organic vineyards in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The crop levels are kept low which produces small berries and contributes to a concentrated wine. The grapes were picked once the typical flavors of Marlborough were shining through. They were crushed to different fermenters allowing a range of components for blending. Plunged daily to allow the soft tannins to emerge in the wine. By selecting the best combination of these parcels, we were able to produce a wine with flavor and texture. All components were aged in oak until blending adding even greater flavor and softness to the wine.
The grapes and wine are certified organic by BioGro New Zealand.
