In 2013, they won the IWSC Bouchard Finlayson Pinot Noir Trophy Winner in 2013 which basically means that they made the best pinot noir in the world!
James Dicey is the viticulturist and his brother, Matt Dicey is the winemaker. James is responsible for growing the best grapes, hand harvesting them during vintage and provding constant TLC. Matt, has a minimalist wine making approach which allows for the full expression of terroir. (Matt moonlights making White Rabbit Cacao — a bean-to-bar chocolate that, unsurprising pairs nicely with his Pinot!)
Wines from the Black Rabbit and Inlet vineyards come together in the “Composition” Pinot Noir, while the “Swansong” Pinot Gris is sourced from their fathers “Swansong” vineyard located on Felton Road.
