"A spectacular blending of three different vineyards, this Chardonnay is like a blockbuster movie on the palate. There's a distinctive layer in this wine that I really like, from beguiling spice, to cashew from the oak that just seduces me." - Cameron Douglas (MS)

Winemaker's Notes
2014 was an outstanding Hawkes Bay Chardonnay vintage. Typical of our Legacy sites, the low yielding vines in 2014 produced depth and concentration of flavor with good levels of natural acidity. This finely styled and balanced wine shows defined fruit flavors with layered complexity and texture resulting from our classical and natural approach to winemaking. Whole cluster pressing, natural fermentation in 40% new French barriques. 12-month maturation in barrique and tank, partial and natural malolactic.
