Winemaker's Notes
Vintage 2016 in Marlborough was both kind and abundant. Ideal growing conditions throughout the summer were followed by a dry, sunny and temperate autumn; the classic Indian Summer, before an early April harvest. Yields were higher than expected, with less berries per bunch, but each berry being much bigger and juicier than other years. Our This Pinot Noir is produced from Forrest's Southern Valleys vineyard, planted over 25 years ago – a very special site with geologically older soils composed of crushed river stones, intermixed with clay.
