2017 Ceres The Artists Collection Black Rabbit Vineyard Pinot Noir

Complex, varietal, developing and enticing bouquet. Aromas and flavors of blackcurrant and black cherry, darker baking spices of clove and vanilla, there’s a mix of wood smoke and a fine savory Bannockburn core. Firm tannins and decent acid line form a solid foundation for the core of fruit. Complex, dry, lengthy, well made. Best drinking from 2020 through 2026.

The pride of Ceres Wines, a collection of exceptional single site wines that hero worship the vineyard they come from.  Adorned with the artwork of Odelle Morshuis to celebrate all those ''artists'' involved in capturing this moment in time and space.

This wine is clearly defined by Black Rabbit's high altitude aspect and bony schist soils.  Low yielding vines provide astonishing complexity and concentration, delivery a Pinot of savory spice and great depth.
